sony dsr390 with canon 19x1 lens

selling this awesome cam with canon 19x1 lens, kata bag, 2x130 switronix lithium batteries and 3x90 switronix batteries + charger : $6000

new this would have cost about $16,000

the best part is the camera is at sony right now in NJ getting the mechanism replaced with a new one. the mechanism is a $4000 part that holds the heads and all other moving parts. replacing the mechanism with a new one is like taking an entire engine out of the car and putting a brand new one in. this camera will essentially be brand new with 0 hours on the heads, and all moving parts. sony is doing this for my camera for a good deal so i can afford to do it. this camera has been proven to be the best sd camera in low light ever! better than sony 300, 370, 500, 400, 450, you name it. shooting 0db in a dark reception with only a 35w camera light was done all the time. alhtough 3db and 6db looks great too.

    Wow Adam...
I couldn't agree with you more... as much as I see the HD world approaching at high speed I will miss the 390. We still use 2 of them and you are quite right! NOTHING comes close to that low light image. I had hoped the EX1 would replace our 390's but I don't see that happening yet. We don't use anything more than on camera 20 watt lights w/dimmers and with the 390's at 0db or maybe +3db in a pinch. One of these days I guess I will have to start thinking about selling mine also, but still having low light withdrawls when I think about that. If you are gonna continue to shot SD then this is obviously the camera to be all. Good luck with your sale.
