Re:Frame Shoot Out Glide Track Test

    Hey Guys and Gals,

I had such a great time with all of you who were at Re:Frame. The time went by so fast, and we learned so much in such a short amount of time. I miss y'all already!!

Here is that little video I put together from the shoot out. I really enjoyed using that Glide Track. It was the compact version. You get 18" of slide and at first I was not so sure that would be enough but as you can see in some of these shots it's plenty. The Glide Track Compact is so small it can fit in your tripod bag no problem. I am planning on getting one for sure. I know there are a lot of shoe shots here but there were not many ledges for me to put the track on. You can use a tripod with a quick release and pop this up any where. Can't wait to try that. Also, I was thinking about getting some soft door wedges to put under the feet to get a bit more tilt on it. All in all, a lovely little piece of equipment for sure.

I have also attached a few shots from my storm chasing trip up in Oklahoma right after Re:Frame. Talk about exciting!! Whew!! It was insane. We got golf ball sized hail and maybe a few bigger ones. It was pretty nuts.. Here are a few of my favorites from my short trip.

There was some awesome lighting as well.
I love this one. It looks like a robot with it's arms getting cut off by lightning..

My Kids said I look like a scary ghost in this one!

See ya all in San Fran!!

Great video, Brian! It was also great meeting you at Re:Frame. Wish we had 2 days for the shootout. It was fun to see everyone with their gear. Thanks for sharing this (looked awesome on the big screen).

I don't know about anyone else but I've really enjoyed this and all the other video clips of Reframe and the shoot out, a welcome Saturday off meant I could catch them all and I gotta say it's the most unreal experience to watch them so God only knows how it felt to actually be a part of it - I think Evro summed it up nicely with his live comment on one of the other clips : ) Thanks to all who posted.

Love the pics Brian - it looks like the dawn of Armageddon : )

    Brian,

You're making me want to get one of those glidetrack doo-hickeys. First use? Wow.

Next time you're around, I'll go storm chasing with you. Looks like fun.

Awesome color grading and love what that Pani can do. Another camera I wouldn't mind purchasing. I'll add it to the long list. .
    Great job Brian.

I absolutely LOVE the GT Compact... I've used it for about 4 weddings so far.. I attached a QR plate on it, so I can pop it off and on my tripod in seconds... really adds a ton to your production value.. Nice shots Brian!

    Hey Brian,

I thought this was great when I saw it on your macbook at breakfast in Austin. Really nicely put together - well done.

It was great meeting you at Re:Frame.

I think we have to find a way to get your re:frame rap online!!

    The 'robot' shot is awesome!
