Posh Retreat: Female Filmmakers Unite!

Today a very cool event was announced that I wanted to share:

Jen Moon & Reagan Zugelter have come together to put on an incredible workshop for women event filmmakers from Nov 8-12, 2010. The mission for POSH is education + inspiration + relaxation so the retreat is taking place on a 4 night Royal Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas!

Most of us are pretty wiped by the end of October from wedding season so what better way to chill out, get inspired and find encouragement to get through those Christmas edits then sipping on a Pina Colada getting a massage and talking about the latest in Glidecam fashion!?

It's an intimate group ~ only 40 women so reserve your spot! I am so excited to be a part of this and I know that we are going to have an incredible time. I hope to see you there!

After much thought I have decided to file a sex discrimination lawsuit against POSH. Men, we must stand united behind this, I have called and left a message with the famed attorney Gloria Allred and fully expect her to take the case - free of charge. POSH has a long history of wanting to leave men out of the loop, this has to stop. The open seas are a place of freedom and should include all sexes,the sexless & the sexy. Thank you for your attention in this matter.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!! Gloria Allred returned my call, bad news I'm afraid, she is going to join the girls on the POSH cruise!!!!!! She thinks no men is a great idea, I don't think she ever did like men. Now, she want to be a filmmaker so you can cover and manage her own press conferences!!! Oh well, I'm calling Robert Sharpio now.

This is a girlcation and I'm excited! We need more women in this industry and I think it should be a goal during the cruise (between the eating, sunbathing, playing, dancing, etc.) to discuss ways to encourage talented women to do what we do.

Anyway, I'm going. who else is in? Already bought my flight because Virgin America has a great deal right now LAX - Orlando. You have to book by next week.
