Imagine being able to travel to the most awesome country on the planet (Australia, of course) ... and learn from people like Mike Wong, Konrad Czystowski, Alvin Paver (Mayad) and Jason Magbanua.

Imagine that you could also win a Canon 5DM2.

Imagine that the event ticket was less than $1000.

Ok, stop imagining and start booking because places are filling fast !!

Our elective sessions are limited to just 15 spaces - and there are only a few places left.

See http://www.exposeddowununder.com.au for more details, or feel free to post questions here.

Exposed Down Under is proud to announce Jason Magbanua and Alvin Paver as guest speakers at our upcoming workshop.
    At Exposed Down
Under Jason will be presenting 'Shooting and Editing Techniques for video and DLSR cameras' and also 'Marketing and Same-Day-Edits'.
    JASON MAGBANUA:

Jason and his team have a very wide influence on wedding videography as an industry. Their site visitors do not only include the client base but other videographers as well and their influence is not only local but international. Jason has the distinction of being the only Filipino to be voted as one of the 25 most influential videographers in the world (for four straight years). At Exposed Down

Very excited that we're starting tomorrow !

This is the first event of its kind in Australia and we are stoked to have some exceptional talent coming down to speak. Alvin is already in Sydney, Jason arrives tomorrow and Konrad & Michael on Tuesday.

Peter Silveszter will be blogging on the Exposed website about all that goes on (well maybe not ALL that goes on ).

I'm sure that we'll have a successful event - and I want to say thanks to everyone who has made it happen; organisers, speakers and attendees. Let's have a great week !

Well EDU is over and it was super successful, if you haven't been following the blog you can read all about it http://www.exposeddownunder.com.au/?page_id=1240

I have to say thanks to all the speakers and fellow organisers, especially Rochelle who just stayed solid all the way through.

I put together a video during the event and tried to capture the feeling of it all.

I have to say that this felt like a landmark event for Australian wedding filmmaking. The presenters and presentations were awesome (from both international and local presenters). There was such a feeling of comraderie amongst the attendees, like I've never seen in Australia before. So many great friendships formed, it was amazing. I can't wait to see the results reflected in everyone's work. I personally can't wait to collaborate with some of our interstate colleagues too.

Great video Pete. Great event everyone !! Can't wait til next year !!

Will this definitely be an annual event then Dave? I was sorely tempted but for me it was a tad too soon after SM. If it's an annual event I'll be there next year - a week in Sydney away from a Canberra winter has to be worthwhile

    Hey Steve,

It's a shame you missed it. It was the perfect follow-up to SM.
From the feedback we've had, I think another one next year would be inevitable. It will probably be July again - and next one would be in Melbourne. Stay tuned to the website for details as soon as we have them ready to go ... www.exposeddownunder.com.au

    Bring it ON!!!!

Forget Super 8, HDSLR & 3D Cinematography, my seminar topic will be about how to totally screw up a wedding video business without even trying and will be discussing in great detail my very own formula for success

Yeah, QLD sounds good (ie. warm) for July. I was just in Melbourne and it was freezing. Bring on the sun and XXXX!

Congrats on the successful event - I followed every blog post and watched every video and was jealous I couldn't be there.

I remember not too many years ago when the first Aussies swept into this forum and were talking about the lack of quality work and expectations in the country/continent.

I can't imagine things staying the same with the enthusiasm folks like yourself are emanating, and I would be interested to hear how perceptions have changed over the past two years and if that has translated into commanding higher rates.

Re: Exposed Down Under - Event now open!

    Thanks Jones

It has been a fantastic few years, especially in Sydney. I remember when Abraham and I were in Vegas for NAB just last year; just before we came down to Austin for Re:Frame - and we were chatting with Ray Roman and Julie Hill and we were dumbfounded at the rates that they were charging on average. Now, just 12 months later here we are charging similar rates and getting them.

At Exposed, I spoke about "collaboration, not competition". That's a mantra that has worked for us in Sydney amazingly well. By working together, we've been able to drive up both the quality of work, which in turn has definitely seen a greater demand for what we offer and subsequently increases in the $ we can command. Exposed was a great opportunity to share that with others around the country - and to expand our collaborating group across state-borders.

Mate, I know that you invest a lot of your time and energy into InFocus - and I'm sure that you can relate when I say that organising Exposed was very rewarding. I can't wait to do it again next year, bigger and better ! (btw ... would love to hear any tips you have on running these events. Rochelle and I are rookies at this ).

Absolutely would love to hear tips. There was so much we just took in our stride but had amazing support not only from the locals but from our international guests. I cannot thank Michael, Konrad , Alvin & Jason enough for their support.

Jason had certainly made a last impression and his words of wisdom to us in planning for the future, will definitely stay with me - I look forward to our future events.

PS - suck it up Troy, you're a big boy
